Common Questions

Things Families Often Ask

How does the first consultation work?
The first meeting is simply a conversation. You share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, and we listen. There is no pressure to proceed, and everything discussed stays entirely between us. After talking, we provide a written summary of your situation and possible paths forward.
How long does a divorce process typically take in Thailand?
It depends on whether both parties agree. A mutual consent divorce can often be completed relatively quickly through the district office. Contested matters, or those involving property and children, take longer and may require court proceedings. We explain the realistic timeline for your specific situation at the outset.
What happens in child arrangement discussions?
We help parents think through care and contact schedules that work around the child's daily life — school, activities, and both parents' circumstances. Our approach encourages cooperative solutions first. If parents can reach an agreement together, it is usually the most sustainable for everyone, especially the children.
Is mediation legally binding in Thailand?
An agreement reached through mediation can be made legally binding when properly drafted and, where required, registered. We handle the documentation carefully so any agreement reflects exactly what both sides have consented to, in language the court will recognise.
What are your fees, and are there any additional costs?
Our service fees start from ฿1,560 for initial divorce guidance, ฿2,840 for child arrangement support, and ฿4,150 for mediation and full agreement drafting. We explain all fees clearly before any work begins, and we let you know in advance if any additional steps might involve separate costs such as court filing fees.
Do you work with clients who are not Thai nationals?
Yes. We regularly assist expatriate families and mixed-nationality couples navigating Thai family law. Our team communicates in English and understands the additional considerations that apply in cross-border situations.
